Hope Spoken
Hey there,
I am linking up with Hope Spoken today. I'm Emily Shackelford aka Emily Shack and I am from North Dallas. I am so excited that this conference is being held here in town and for the opportunity to meet all of you ladies.
Here's a little about myself... I am married to my best friend Chris and mom to Hayden (3) and Ethan (1). I am an interior designer by trade but am staying home and enjoying my kids right now. My family attends the Village Church in Flowermound and we love our community there. I am originally from the Dallas area so I'm excited that the conference is being held here. Again, I am so excited to meet you ladies and have the opportunity to spend a weekend with you.
I would have to say I am a little nervous about the weekend because I can be quiet in new groups and settings. I hope that I can feel comfortable and relaxed and I can leave inspired, refreshed, and encouraged.
Something fun/random... I love crafting, sewing, photography and just being creative.
Thanks for hosting the conference Casey, Emily, and Danielle. I am looking forward to it. Looking forward to meeting some of you that already feel like friends thanks to your blogs that have encouraged and inspired me. I'm so thankful that my friend, Amanda Wimberley is coming with me.
Looking forward to it.

Amarillo
We recently took a trip up to Amarillo to visit my grandparents. It was so sweet to see Hayden running around the house like I'm sure I did when I was little. It was also so sweet to share Ethan with my Grandma and Grandad. I'm so thankful they got to meet him. Here are some of my favorites from the trip. And my finger got snap happy on this trip... just saying... enjoy. These are out of order but I hear a baby stirring. Got to go until next time.
Out like a light. This was her first experience of many during the month of november to sleep on a palette. I'd say she did great!
Checking Palo Duro out with Dad holding on tight.
The gang... all smiles.
Off to go horse back riding.
Hayden's turn. She couldn't decide if the playground my Aunt Missy had was better than her first time to ride a horse.
It was cold and windy... thus the little guy was not too happy. I figure if we get one kid to even look in the general direction of the camera that is a win in my book. At least for another year or two and then the better look at the camera at the same time. :)
Feeding the ducks was something Val and I always did when we'd go up and spend time in the summer with our grandparents. It was so sweet to have Hayden experience one of my favorite childhood memories.
Drive in movie night.

Catch Up
Catch Up, I feel like that's all I do/post on this blog. I finally got around to uploading pictures from our point and shoot and they stretched all the way back to August. Sad. I know. Anyways I wanted to post some pictures of the rest of our October. We have been traveling for what seems to have been the entire month of November so there will be some more posts soon, I hope.
Hayden loved throwing rocks down by the creek.
We ended up back home after the hike for our picnic lunch. Learning to be flexible with little ones.
Here's our little ladybug at trunk or treat. Thanks Mom for helping me put it all together.
Classic.
She loved loved loved the jump houses they had.
Her loot from Trunk or Treat.
Dress up for Storytime at the Library.
Trick or treating with friends. She was on the fence about all of the strangers but she got the hang of it quickly.

Autumn
October was a busy month. Wow, I can't believe it's already November; time flies. Well, like I said October was a busy month for us. There are just so many places and things to go see and the weather is usually pretty manageable, but I'm so glad I can finally pull out my boots and scarves.
I am so thankful my sister's kids and my kids get to grow up together. Such sweet memories. Here are some pics from our trip to Autumn at the Arboretum. We got to see the Chihuly exhibit while we were there and it was beautiful. Chris and I got to see it at night and it was beautiful then too, more on that to follow.
We had to have a wardrobe change after these shots it was just too hot still.
Running and chasing. The arboretum is the best place to do just that. Wide open spaces. :)
Such a great shot of her. She is quick on her feet, I'll tell ya.
Overexposed, I know but I still love it.
Picnic time. Loving the quilt my mom helped me make. I think I am going to make another one soon. They are just so great to have on you and help make spontaneous picnics and trips to the park even more fun.
Here we are...
It is what it is... the quote right now with pictures. Love how Grant and Hayden are squealing, scaring Ethan and Mason says there's no chance you'll keep him on his back now that he is mobile. Maybe next time, Mom.
